Since the Duke will not take Serena seriously, she decides to sit outside of his home and let others come to their own conclusion as to why she is there. Hugo befriends Serena without her knowing who or what he is.
Serena soon confesses all to Hugo and he doesn't know if he can "take care of the problem" anymore. As his feelings for Serena grow, Hugo must make a decision to go with his heart or to go after the dream he has had since he was a child.
I liked this book and can't wait to read the rest of the series! The end of the story introduces us to Serena's child and the child the Duke has with his Duchess.
