To All the Rakes I've Loved Before by Anne Barton

To All the Rakes I've Loved Before by Anne Barton

This is book 1.5 of the Honeycote Series.

Amelia Wimple gets an unexpected visitor late one evening (you could call it early morning!) by the man that had jilted her. She can't imagine what he is doing at her home, but soon learns that his best friend has been injured and needs a place to stay. Since Amelia's mother is out of town and she rarely ventures out into society, he thought her home would be the perfect place for Lord Stephen Brookes to recover.

Stephen is known to be a rakehell and a gambler. His injuries were sustained from the man he owed money to. During his short recovery period, Stephen and Amelia have an immediate attraction to each other and quickly act on those feelings.

This was a very quick read (I read it in an hour) but very enjoyable. We get to see a small glimpse of Olivia and Rose Sherbourne, whom we meet in When She Was Wicked. I'm hoping this will tie me over until the next book comes out later this month.
