This is book 2 in the Wicked Little Secrets series.
Isabella St. Vincent can't believe that her business partner might have purchased fake stock with the money from their bank. With no one else to turn to, she must go to the third partner Lord Randall. Isabella grew up with Randall and they have never gotten along, but since this problem is also his, they must put their differences aside to solve it.
Having known Isabella for years, Randall is shocked that he suddenly can't stop thinking about her. This is the woman who he has bickered with his whole life, how can he be attracted to her? Spending more and more time together, he learns that the attraction is mutual.
Can these two stop bickering long enough to solve their financial problems and fall in love?
Even though this is book 2 in the series, you won't have any trouble following this one if you haven't read the first. I don't remember any overlapping characters (although I might have missed them...).
One of my favorite things in a book is witty banter between the main characters and this story is full of it. I was laughing out loud at all the crazy things that Isabella and Randall said to each other. Adding the mystery of the fake stock to the story, just took it up a notch.
I loved that Isabella and Randall had known each other for years, but didn't really "know" each other. They have the familiarity that comes with it, but we were still able to see the growth between them as they became lovers.
This was a great story by Ives and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!
