I fell in love with Burke's writing when I read The DeValery Code. This story starts the next generation of that family. Catriona is the daughter of the previous H/H. Just like the previous story there is lots of adventure to keep the reader enthralled with the story.
I loved Catriona! She was a woman that was determined to do what she wanted and wasn't going to allow anyone to stop her. She wanted to make a name for herself in a profession, that was at that time, for men-only. She needed a man that would allow her to be herself, but was strong enough not to let her run all over him. Elijah was the perfect match!
I really hope that Burke is continuing with this series, as it is one of my favorites!
