Lady Evelyn Alexander has run off to Scotland with her fiance to get married, but when family friends catch up with them those plans are foiled. Alec McAllister has no wish to be married, but when he wakes up next to the beautiful Evelyn, he is willing to reconsider. They soon learn that they are legally married and have consummated their marriage. But Evelyn's fiance has disappeared and she is determined to find him. What else is a husband to do, but follow his wife??
I really enjoyed this story and wish it had been a little longer. I loved the verbal sparring that Alec and Evelyn did and the chemistry between them was red hot! I can't wait to see what McKinley has in store for us next!
