Society's Most Scandalous Viscount by Anabelle Bryant

Society's Most Scandalous Viscount by Anabelle Bryant

This is book 3 in the Regency Charms series.

Benedict, Viscount "Kell" Kellaway, has gone to Brighton to get away from the latest scandal he and his father created. He finds solace away from the ton and on his beach. One evening he sees what he believes to be an apparition of a woman walking the beach. He returns the next night to find that it was actually a flesh and blood woman...one that seems to affect him as no other has before.

Angelica Curtis is spending the week with her grandmother. Dreading the moment she must return to London and learn what fate her father has planned for her, she walks the beach at night enjoying the freedom that will soon be lost. On one of those walks, she encounters Benedict. Feeling an instant attraction to him, she asks him for her first kiss knowing that she needs something to hold close to her heart in the years to come.

Can these two lost souls find what their heart desires in each other?

After learning more about Kell in Undone by his Kiss, I imagined that there had to be more to him than he showed the world at large. We already knew that he hated his parents and the scandals that they brought with them, but we really hadn't seen what those scandals did to Kell and how they made him into the man that he is. We definitely see a different side of the viscount in this story.

Angelica was just as defined by her father as Kell was by his. His religious beliefs kept her on the straight and narrow and it wasn't until she knew that he had plans for her that she ventured out to make some memories for herself.

I think the suffering that both Kell and Angelica went through drew them to each other. They both had horrible upbringings and I think they could sense a kindred soul in the other.

Another wonderful story by Bryant! It looks like the next book in the series will be out in early 2016 and I can't wait to read it!
